About me

Thanks for stopping by timross13.wordpress.com. I am Tim. I take pictures. I take a lot of pictures. I edit a lot of pictures. I live in the ‘burbs of Atlanta, GA, and I have been around digital media for about 15 years now. Started out using Photoshop 2.5. I may still have the copy if anyone is interested. It I remember correctly, Photoshop 2.0 was for Mac users, and 2.5 was the first version sold for Windows users. Yes, I’m a PC. I have yet to buy a Mac, but I do own an iPod. Anyway….

That is a self-portrait of me. I got a discount at a tanning salon…..and this is what happens when you try and save a little money. Well, that is kind of what happened. I actually spent the day at the ballpark with my hat on backwards and no sunscreen.  That’ll learn me.

I am an amateur photographer that enjoys taking pictures. I just set up my web site (timrossphotography.net) for folks to look at what I do when I am not working my normal 50 hour a week job. They may not be the best pictures you have ever seen, but I like them. I used to travel for my job, and I always took my camera with me just in case.  It is a hobby that has turned to an obsession, just ask my wife. And I thought golf was expensive!

I shoot with a Nikon, currently the d40, but wanting to upgrade my glass and the body to something with a little more pixel power. I had my first official ‘gig’ last weekend, and I realized that I need an upgrade. Send donations to the ‘Make My Dream Come True’ fund. All contributions are tax-deductible by the way.

I have been married for 20+ years, I have a 15 year old son that is a baseball fanatic (just like me), and we are on the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace journey to the land of debt-free.

    Hi Tim!

I came across your site and fell in love with those pictures of the barn and truck. I’m actually a 3d student studying visual effects at SCAD and would love to model both the truck and barn in 3d. Any chance you might have more references that I can use to create a likeness?

Also, I saw that you’re near Atlanta. I’m actually in Savannah myself and heck, I could drive out to the barn myself. Where is it located?

Anyway, I’ll be happy to share the model when I’m done. Maybe you can play around with it in AE.

I work in the IT field….well, kind of. I build video on demand systems, but I work with some real geeks that are really into this computer stuff. When this happened to me, I handed over the e-mail to them guys, and they figured out where it was coming from, all the way down to the address of the house that the computer was in. I don’t know how they did it, but they did. I received an e-mail from the police in Wales letting me know that they were tracking down this person, and they are also keeping an eye on his Western Union account. I wish I could take the credit for it, but I really had nothing to do with it.

Good luck to you. Hope it never happens to you!!!
